Wednesday 22nd February saw the General Legal Advice Clinic (GLAC) students hold a Great Legal Bake sale at the John Pounds Centre. The bake sale was raising money for the Access to Justice Foundation, specifically the South West Legal Support Trust.
The clinic frequently encounters clients who cannot afford a solicitor to take their issue to court leaving them with limited options. The money raised for the Access to Justice Foundation will go to support local advice agencies and charities through the South West Legal Support Trust.
The GLAC students came together and baked a variety of different cakes and biscuits which were sold throughout the day attracting a large amount of donations!
The day ended, in true “Bake off” style with prizes for the best Bakers! Our Supervisors, Gemma and Vicki, were very happy to feature in the prizes (it wasn’t a fix we promise!!!)
We are proud to say we raised over £115 towards the worthy cause.
The day was a huge success, thank you to everyone who contributed, whether it was baking the cakes or helping to sell them, it was a great success.
